Thanks to D'Aluisio Smartweld, the Chisel is the lightest XC aluminum frame in its class. Each highly manipulated frame tube features continuous wall thickness variation and shaping that provides stiffness where needed for efficiency, and smoothness where desired for comfort and optimal control.

UNLIMITED CAPABILITY:

With 110mm of suspension using our Ride Dynamics technology, the high-performance pedigree of the Chisel traces directly back to the Epic 8, our World Cup racing machine. Advanced suspension kinematics DNA from the Epic 8, Ride Dynamics suspension, and progressive geometry perfected on World Cup technical circuits are found in the Chisel, making it more than capable of confidently handling varied terrain with speed.

INCREDIBLY EFFICIENT:

The Chisel is the most efficient XC bike in its class, leveraging geometry and kinematics used on our multiple World Cup-winning Epic 8 platform. The steeply angled seat tube places the rider in the optimal pedaling position. Sharp anti-squat reduces "bobbing," ensuring every watt applied to the pedals translates into maximum forward motion.

SMOOTHER IS FASTER:

We've designed a rear end with flexible stays for class-leading suspension performance, while eliminating the additional weight and maintenance associated with pivots in a traditional design. More commonly found in carbon bikes, extensive field and lab testing prove that Chisel has achieved the impossible: the efficiency, control, and lightness of a flexible stay design in advanced aluminum.

HYDROFORMED ALUMINUM:

The Chisel saves material and weight with a single-piece hydroformed seat tube that integrates the seat tube pivot, main pivot, and bottom bracket shell. In a more traditional bike, the seat tube is typically just a "tube" with pivots and bottom bracket shell welded on.
